Jim's Quotes

Life is what happens as the grains of sand move from one end of the glass to the other. But the sands continue to move, even if we do not.

Isaiah 41:10

‘Do not fear, for I am with you;
Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you, surely I will help you,
Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’

Salvation - Benefits of Salvation

Our Salvation comes through Jesus Christ, the Lamb for the sacrifice for Passover, who came to the temple in Jerusalem to be examined by the Jewish leaders and they could find no fault in Jesus, the Jewish leaders turned Jesus over to Pontius Pilate, the judge for man, and Pontius Pilate could find no fault in Jesus.

Jesus Christ was pure without sin, but He bore all our sins (standing in for us and our sins) and He was crucified on the cross that day as perfect sacrifice for our sins; by His sacrifice, we were freed from our bondage of sin; shedding His blood, so that we might live. [“But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed.” (Isaiah 53:5); "He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed." (1 Peter 2:24); "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16); and, "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 6:23)

But, not even death could hold Jesus Christ, He is Arisen (Matthew 28:1-20); because Jesus Christ told the Truth, before He was crucified, when the high priest asked him, "Are you the Christ, the Son of the Blessed One?" (Mark 14:61), “I am," said Jesus, “And you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven." (Mark 14:62)

I truly lift Jesus Christ and God the Father up to your hearts!!!  I try to give love to my fellow man, because this is the only way that I can show God the Father what His Only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ, did for sinful, insignificant me, by Saving me from my sinful nature that day.  “It is finished.” (John. 19:30).  Jesus Christ is my Savior.  I hope if Jesus Christ is not your Savior yet, He soon will be.

1 Corinthians 15:13-19 New International Version (NIV)

"13If there is no resurrection of the dead, then not even Christ has been raised. 14And if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith. 15More than that, we are then found to be false witnesses about God, for we have testified about God that he raised Christ from the dead. But he did not raise him if in fact the dead are not raised. 16For if the dead are not raised, then Christ has not been raised either. 17And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins. 18Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ are lost. 19If only for this life we have hope in Christ, we are to be pitied more than all men."

 “He who makes no effort to learn of the existence of Deity will, in this life, likely not learn there is a Deity. But his ignorance does not warrant him in declaring there is no God.”

-- Joseph F. Merrill
