Jim Long's Writing's - Jim's Poetry

We should all create a Bridge over the River Kwai

In an attempt at perfection in futility we must try

It isn’t to inspect that which we made in wonder

Dreams may end up and reside in other's plunder

It’s at the feat to create with our try at perfection

Thinking our feat's wonder would be lasting selection

But with time, nature and life all will fade that is here

It isn’t any lasting or holding or a thing to hold dear

Winds of time blow through our life a rain of despair

It at our heart will certainly bend and our eyes will tear

Build something that will endure and show mastery

Don’t despair or conviction bend with uncertainty

Because what you build with a happy heart so fine

A smile and kind words in other’s life will intertwine

Peace of our Lord be with you and let Him be your Architect, Jim  +
