Matthew 24Signs of Christ's Return

¹ Jesus came out from the temple and was going away when His disciples came up to point out the temple buildings to Him.

²And He said to them, "Do you not see all these things? Truly I say to you, not one stone here will be left upon another, which will not be torn down."

³As He was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, "Tell us, when will these things happen, and what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?"

⁴And Jesus answered and said to them, " See to it that no one misleads you.

⁵"For many will come in My name, saying, 'I am the Christ,' and will mislead many.

⁶"You will be hearing of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not frightened, for those things must take place, but that is not yet the end.

⁷"For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and in various places there will be famines and earthquakes.

⁸" But all these things are merely the beginning of birth pangs.”

Note by Jim-Everyone see the wars, but how about the rumors of war? Do you see the Syrian Conflict (No, you have heard "second hand report"); have you seen the wars in Africa? Most of the Nations during the Arab Spring included kingdoms. Rising food costs and starvation.

Note by Jim-The following from Revelations has been taken be some to mean the destruction each occurring in order, but it is known as the first woe. They could all climax together:

⁶ And the seven angels who had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound them.

⁷The first sounded, and there came hail and fire, mixed with blood, and they were thrown to the earth; and a third of the earth was burned up, and a third of the trees were burned up, and all the green grass was burned up.

¹¹The name of the star is called Wormwood; and a third of the waters became wormwood, and many men died from the waters, because they were made bitter.

Note by Jim-Sounds a lot like a nuke! – “Wormwood” means bitterness.

¹²The fourth angel sounded, and a third of the sun and a third of the moon and a third of the stars were struck, so that a third of them would be darkened and the day would not shine for a third of it, and the night in the same way.

¹³Then I looked, and I heard an eagle flying in midheaven, saying with a loud voice, "Woe, woe, woe to those who dwell on the earth, because of the remaining blasts of the trumpet of the three angels who are about to sound!””
