My garden has many things that live and grow within it. I used to pull out the things that grew in it that I didn’t want and built a fence to surround it. I noticed things other than what I wanted would grow and enter my garden.
I pondered one day as I noticed that a plant that I thought was good over took my garden. I got rid of it and winter came.
I planted and took care of the plants this year again in my garden, but I decided that some weeds did produce wonderful flowers. So although I kept them apart from my good plants, I tended them too. Some had beautiful flowers as fall came. Some did not. But some of the plants that I thought were good were not.
Some weeds do grow within my garden, but many unexpected delights came from those I thought were bad. I decided the weeds needed tending too. I decided it was no longer my opinion on what was a weed and what was a good plant that mattered. Both change their natures. So as next year’s season approaches; I don’t worry about the plants that I like or the flowers that are in my garden. They will return or I will plant ones like them in the future. It is the weeds that don’t come back and disappear in the harshness of nature that cause me sorrow. They might have been one of the most beautiful flowers to grow in my garden.
May God Bless You and Yours this Christmas Season and May You have a Prosperous and Happy New Year, Jim :-)
